Whether you’re new to the National Association of Mothers’ Centers or a long-time supporter, we invite you to attend our conferences and events. Our programs offer many opportunities to meet and learn from others who share your interest in, commitment to and passion for mothering and caregiving issues. Here’s a rundown of our major events, but check back often--we’re always scheduling new ones.

The NAMC National Conference
Our National Conference brings people from all over the country together. Keynote and other sessions range from updates about the work we do on a national level and training on the operation of a Mothers’ Center to workshops on child development, parenting, women’s issues, and much more. You’ll also hear about the latest research and the advocacy issues we’re addressing--issues relevant to Mothers’ Center members, leaders and those committed to our MOTHERS public policy initiative.

Work/Life Conference
This annual event, first held in 1996, is a great way for employers and employees alike to explore issues in the work/life integration arena. Nationally recognized experts share their insights into how workplace flexibility and family-friendly policies make good business sense. Sessions cover the myriad issues around elder care, child care, balancing responsibilities of both work and family, parenting, and how to create and implement innovative work/life policies. Hear about current research and best practices firsthand at this productive event.

Putting Families First Golf Outing
This annual event started a decade ago to benefit three of Long Island's outstanding family support organizations. The Parent-Child Home Program, The National Association of Mothers' Centers, and The Middle Country Library Foundation Family Place Project represent the finest of what Long Island's leadership has to offer families Islandwide and Nationwide.

Believing that all families have strengths, their programs build on the knowledge that good health, early learning, parental involvement and supportive communities play critical roles in young children's successful growth and development.

We had our 10th annual event at The Creek in Locust Valley, NY. You can learn more by visiting www.puttingfamiliesfirstgolf.org.

Motherhood & Apple Pie Breakfast
The NAMC has hosted an invitation only “Motherhood & Apple Pie” breakfast, where we celebrate mothers, Mothers’ Day, our donors, supporters, and volunteers. The event has been a wonderful way for stakeholders to hear more about our vision, mission, and recent progress. It’s also been a great way for them to meet our dedicated champions in a fun, informal setting.
